National Restaurant Association is one of the largest tradeshows for food service and hospitality in the North America. Over 1800 exhibitors offer the latest technologies, products and programs to help restaurant operators increase kitchen efficiencies and provide a menu to satisfy increasingly discriminating consumer palates.

Last weekend ACityDiscount's Marty Stack, VP New Products, and Hap Schneider, Sales Manager, attended the NRA Show 2010 in Chicago. At the show, we caught up with some of our existing suppliers, including Tor-Rey, Imperial Range, Hoshizaki, and Turbo Air. We also sourced potential new suppliers who manufacture commercial broilers, food and bar blenders, espresso machines, and energy efficient cooking equipment, among others. While a large amount of the show focused on healthy cooking and using sustainable ingredients to prepare menu items with demonstration by world-renowned chefs, we had a great time visiting the booth of our favorite chocolatier, Norman Love, and sampling his new line of dark chocolates, "Black". Overall, we were very impressed with NRA 2010 and look forward to attending next year’s show! Stay tuned as we announce new additions to our product offerings over the next few months.
