ACityDiscount management and staff celebrated the grand opening of their new Atlanta restaurant equipment showroom on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 6286 Dawson Blvd. in Norcross, Georgia 30093.
To introduce foodservice industry professionals and the public to the new showroom, ACityDiscount planned a fun-filled day. The day begain with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Lynette Howard, Gwinnett County District 2 Commissioner, Alan Durham, Gwinnett County Economic Development Manager, Nick Masino, Vice President of Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett, Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Chuck Warbington, Executive Director, Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District, and John Stack, ACityDiscount CEO.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, 706 Charles Street Catering served attendees a delectable lunch.
A Knife Skills Competition, between local culinary students, and sponsored by Mercer Cutlery who donated first, second and third place prizes, started at 1:00 p.m. inside the showroom.
The day concluded with a raffle drawing at 2:45 p.m. and an outdoor celebration featuring SJ Wood Fired Pizza, a locally operated food truck, and complimentary beverages. Giveaways including a Scotsman self-contained ice machine, PGA Golf Championship tickets, Atlanta Braves tickets, a commercial-grade outdoor gas grill, F.Dick knives, Crestware cookware were given to the lucky winners. The Gwinnett Braves’ mascot Chopper passed out home game tickets and took pictures with all those in attendance.
