Add food waste any time, any day, up to 120 lbs per month. Waste items are processed continuously, mixing every 4 hours, until they are completely ground down to small particles
Compost is ready every 2 weeks. A red light will tell you when to empty the machine. Just open the door and remove the compost.
Compost almost all food and paper waste items, even pet waste, kitty litter, and cage beddings. The lid of the machine contains a reference sheet with specific examples.
No installation required. The composter plugs into a standard power outlet. For outdoor use, keep power supply dry. For installation inside a kitchen cabinet, a cabinet kit is available for separate purchase - some assembly required.
Construction: External housing: recycled + recyclable energy-efficient polypropylene (stamped with the "5" triangle recycling symbol). Food-grade stainless steel and aluminum internal components. Used properly, the composter will last many, many years.
Power Consumption: 5 kwh / month - as much as a typical night light. This costs about $0.50 per month, depending on local rates. Uses far less energy than hauling the same amount of waste in a diesel garbage truck. NatureMill composters meet or surpass efficiency standards of ENERGY STAR ® (US Environmental Protection Agency), and California Energy Efficiency Level IV.
WARRANTY: NatureMill will repair or replace unit for 1 year, free of charge if it is defective. They also cover shipping charges, if applicable, within the US and Canada for any warranty coverage.
