The pilot burner keeps rice hot after cooking has completed. The thick cast aluminum rice pot conducts heat to help rice cook evenly. The rice pot has plated steel drop handles that remain sufficiently cool to touch when the unit is in use. The stainless steel cover has a durable bakelite handle.
