In-Sink-Erator PRT Specifications
The InSinkErator PowerRinse® Trough (Model PRT) Complete Waste Collection System is engineered for high-volume commercial dishrooms—such as school cafeterias, restaurants, hotels, hospital kitchens, and large banquet facilities—positioned directly inline with conveyor or door-type commercial dishwashers. Designed to allow multiple dishwashing operators to work simultaneously, staff can scrape dirty dishes, cafeteria trays, and cookware with both hands into a continuous stream of recirculated water. Operating on a powerful 70 GPM recirculated water plume while consuming less than 1 GPM of fresh water—a 50% reduction in fresh water consumption compared to traditional waste collection systems—the PRT system drastically lowers utility costs while accelerating throughput speeds by up to two to three times. Its heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction houses an industry-leading fine-mesh scrap basket that captures solid food waste for easy compost or trash disposal without grinding, preventing drain clogs, reducing foul odors, and eliminating heavy liquid bulk from trash bags. Complete with pre-wired controls, dishwasher-safe components, and an automated 20-minute shutoff timer to prevent utility waste, the InSinkErator PRT maximizes dishroom productivity, reduces operational overhead, and delivers a cleaner, more sustainable waste-handling solution.
