To ensure optimal performance and food safety, the TOM-40W(B)-N relies on a precise, protective curtain of cold air to maintain internal temperatures. Because of this design, the unit must not be installed near exterior doors, direct sunlight, or HVAC vents; exterior drafts from doorways and heating or cooling currents from HVAC systems disrupt the delicate air curtain and pull warm air into the cabinet, while direct radiant heat from sunlight overworks the compressor, leading to unsafe cabinet temperatures, severe energy loss, and potential product spoilage.
