A Vision Rooted in Community
The idea for Underground began with Brett's vision to bring an establishment to Dahlonega that celebrated both community and connection. With Chef Chris’ culinary expertise, the restaurant has become a local gathering spot where guests enjoy communal dining and innovative dishes inspired by international and domestic street food.
A Culinary Journey Around the World
Growing up in Queens, New York, Chris developed a love for exploring neighborhoods through food. That passion shines through in the Underground menu, which features global dishes with a chef-driven twist. Guests can enjoy everything from Polish pierogies to Mexican birria tacos.
One of the restaurant's signature desserts, the Gold Bars, is a showstopper: a decadent chocolate bar brushed with 24-karat gold, inspired by the viral sensation from Dubai. Fresh-baked breads and desserts, handcrafted cocktails, and a rotating selection of local craft beers round out the experience.
