Wells WV-48FB Universal Stainless Steel Ventless Hood w/ 48" Cooking Area

The Wells WV-48FB is a ventless hood system designed for commercial kitchens that don't have traditional exterior venting. It provides a self-contained solution for managing smoke, grease, and odors. The system uses a four-stage filtration process to purify the air, which includes a grease filter, a pre-filter, a HEPA filter, and a charcoal filter. This multi-stage process ensures that emissions are reduced to levels below those allowed by regulatory standards like NFPA 96 and ANSI UL710B.

In addition to filtration, the WV-48FB is equipped with a self-contained fire protection system, typically an ANSUL® R-102 system, which makes it Certified Type-1 compliant. An interlock system is a key safety feature; it prevents cooking appliances from operating if the filters are missing or clogged, or if a fire is detected. The unit is built with stainless steel for durability and features adjustable legs, making it a versatile and movable option for various kitchen layouts, including those in leased spaces. The 48-inch cooking zone is suitable for a range of electric cooking equipment, such as fryers, ovens, and griddles, providing a flexible and efficient solution for commercial food service operations.
