Simply mount or position this 31-inch unit over compatible cooking appliances, connect it to a single 208V/240V electrical source, and rely on its multi-stage air filtration—including baffle grease filters and high-efficiency HEPA/charcoal combination filters—to capture grease-laden vapors and odors at the source. This system is specifically designed for electric cooking equipment only because ventless hoods recirculate air back into the room; gas equipment produces toxic combustion byproducts like carbon monoxide, gas flues, and excessive moisture that recirculating air filters cannot remove, whereas electric appliances generate only grease-laden vapor and steam. Mandatory Note

OWNERS RESPONSIBILITY: Before any Wells Mfg. Ventless unit can be powered up for the first time, the UL300 Ansul fire suppression system (provided by others) must be charged with "Ansulex" and commissioned and tagged by a certified and locally licensed ANSUL Fire Suppression contractor. This commissioning is also the commencement of an agreement between the Ansul agent and the owner and cannot be consummated by Wells Mfg, its agents, dealers or service agencies. Cost will vary by individual Ansul agent and paid by the owner, not by Wells.
